Fall Festivities in Woodstock: Scarecrow Voting & Spooktacular Halloween Fun Await!

Oct 30, 2024

As the crisp October air settles in, Woodstock is weaving a colorful tapestry of fall festivities that brings families and friends together. With the changing leaves, there’s a palpable excitement in the air, much like when kids start mapping out their trick-or-treat routes. October isn’t just another month; it's a time to embrace community spirit through engaging events that cater to every generation—from toddlers to grandparents.

🏆 Get Ready for Scarecrow Voting!

This year’s Annual Scarecrow Invasion (read the STORY of the the invasion HERE) has turned Woodstock into a vibrant gallery of creativity. Each scarecrow—crafted by local businesses, schools, and organizations—is not just a display; it’s a storytelling piece that reflects our community’s charm. Remember last year's crow that wore sunglasses? This year promises even more unique characters!

Voting is now underway at the Woodstock Visitor Center, and for just $1 per vote, you’re not only choosing your favorite scarecrow but also supporting In Season, a group dedicated to enhancing our beautiful downtown area. It’s an excellent opportunity for your kids to engage in some friendly competition—imagine them getting excited about voting while learning about community involvement! Bring them along to see what each scarecrow is all about; it’s an educational experience wrapped in fun.

đŸ‘» Spooktacular Halloween Tricks and Treats!

Now, onto the Halloween excitement—mark your calendars for October 31 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Rubes Creek Trail!

This event promises to be a hauntingly good time for families with games, food, and plenty of spooky surprises.
Supporting local vendors not only boosts our economy but also strengthens community ties.

These events aren’t just about celebrating autumn; they are moments that create lasting memories for families. Take your kids trick-or-treating and then grab some cotton candy while you enjoy live music with neighbors. Who knows? You might bump into someone from their school or a friend you haven’t seen in ages!

As we embrace these wonderful fall activities, let’s also take a moment to reflect on what makes Woodstock truly special: its heartwarming sense of community. Every vote cast for a scarecrow or every treat shared during Halloween is an opportunity to connect with those around us. So lace up your boots, grab the kids, and step out into this delightful autumn adventure!
